PREQUEL PARK

FOUND is developing the signage and wayfinding for Prequel Park, a new public waterfront park designed by Heatherwick Studio on San Francisco's Dogpatch shoreline, opening this stretch of the central waterfront for the first time in over 160 years. Set within the historic Power Station district, the park reclaims the ground around the site's retired 1962 power plant and its 300-foot Stack, turning industrial relics into a landscape of gardens, performance space, and public art.

FOUND's program carries the park's identity through its wayfinding and interpretive storytelling, connecting visitors to the layered industrial history of the site as they move through the space. The Stack itself will become a vertical art gallery, launching a landmark public art initiative with ICA SF in 2027.
